Alatau City Garant: digital general insurance with S&P and AM Best ratings
Alatau City Garant Insurance Company JSC is a universal insurer that has been operating on the Kazakhstan market since 2008. Until July 2025 the company was known as Jusan Garant, and after rebranding it joined the single Alatau City ecosystem together with the bank and the investment company. Today it has 15 branches across the country, international financial strength ratings and a strong online channel: most popular policies can be calculated and purchased on the website or in the bank's app.
From Jusan Garant to Alatau City Garant
The company was registered in 2008 and for a long time developed as the insurance arm of a banking group. On 14 July 2025, state re-registration was completed: Jusan Garant Insurance Company JSC received a new name, Alatau City Garant Insurance Company JSC. The rebranding was part of the group's strategy and did not affect obligations to customers: all previously concluded contracts remained in force on the same terms, and the regional network continued to operate without interruption. In summer 2025, the insurance licence was reissued under the new name.
The insurer's shareholder is Alatau City Bank JSC. As a result, the bank's customers can take out insurance products directly in the bank's mobile app, and the company itself uses the bank's infrastructure for sales and servicing.

OGPO VTS
Compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (OGPO VTS) online: just enter the owner's phone number and IIN, and the data will be filled in automatically. When buying on the website, the customer undergoes biometric identification.
CASCO and CASCO-limit
Full vehicle cover and a more affordable option with a limited sum insured, for those who want to cover the main risks without overpaying.
Voluntary motor liability (DGPO)
Voluntary insurance of the driver's liability in excess of the limits of the compulsory policy.

How to report an insured event
Choose the type of event
The "Insured Event" section on the website has separate scenarios for OGPO, CASCO, health, property, travel and passenger transportation, as well as step-by-step instructions.
Determine the settlement procedure
After a road accident, you can choose to report it with a police report or use the European accident report without calling the police, if the conditions for the simplified procedure are met.
Upload documents
For an online claim you will need an identity card, the vehicle registration certificate and police materials, and details of the party at fault and the injured party. An online OGPO claim is available if there is one injured party in the accident; if there are several injured parties, you need to contact the nearest office.
Wait for the decision
The company reviews the claim, assesses the damage and transfers the payment; the status can be checked in the personal account or with the contact centre specialists.
Important: under the regulator's requirements, access to the digital services of financial institutions is possible only after identification, so when buying OGPO on the insurer's website you will need to pass a biometric facial check and confirm the phone number registered in the state database.
