Business travel insurance for employees: medical protection abroad for the whole team
When an employee travels abroad on company business, any illness or injury on the trip becomes the employer’s concern: treatment has to be arranged quickly, bills paid and sometimes the person brought home. A corporate policy for travel abroad solves these problems in advance. The calculator above estimates a preliminary price for the group, and the Dynasty insurance agency will gather offers from licensed insurers and issue policies for all your employees.
Which trips it suits
The programme suits any business travel: negotiations, exhibitions, conferences, training, equipment installation and servicing, work at a client’s sites. It is used both by companies with occasional business trips and by organisations whose specialists spend a large part of the year abroad.
What is covered
- Medical care for sudden illness and injury
- Hospitalisation and emergency surgery
- Medical transportation and repatriation
- Emergency dental care
- 24/7 support from the assistance company
Benefits for the company
- One contract for all travelling employees
- Predictable business travel costs
- Compliance with visa requirements
- Less administrative work for HR
Group calculation by age
The price of a policy for each employee depends on age: for older age groups the rate is usually higher. In the calculator you can enter the number of employees in each age category, and the calculation will be made for the whole group at once. This gives an accurate budget guide and saves you from calculating each trip separately.
Single-trip or annual policies
| Parameter | Single-trip policy | Annual policy |
|---|---|---|
| For whom | Occasional trips | Employees who travel frequently |
| Validity | Dates of a specific trip | One year, with a limit on days abroad |
| Paperwork | Before each trip | Once a year |
| Savings | None | Usually better value for regular travel |
A multi-trip annual policy is convenient for sales managers, engineers and executives who fly regularly: there is no need to arrange documents before each trip, and cover applies automatically within the chosen limit of days.
Site work, sports and higher risk
The standard programme is designed for office activities and business meetings. If employees do physical work on construction sites, in production facilities, in mines or offshore, this risk must be declared separately — the insurer will apply the appropriate terms. The same applies to sports and active leisure during the trip. Undeclared hazardous work may lead to a refusal to pay.
Please note. Compulsory insurance of employees against accidents in the course of work duties and a travel medical policy serve different purposes. The first compensates for the consequences of a workplace injury; the second pays for treatment abroad. Both are useful for business trips.

What to do if something happens
- The employee calls the assistance company on the number in the policy and describes the situation.
- The assistance company refers them to a clinic and arranges payment for treatment.
- The employee keeps all medical documents, invoices and receipts.
- If necessary, the company helps submit a reimbursement claim after the return.
How to choose the sum insured and options
The sum insured sets the limit for medical expenses and is usually chosen in the range from 15,000 to 100,000 US dollars or euros. For trips to countries with expensive healthcare, long business trips and older employees, it makes sense to choose a higher limit. Schengen visas have separate requirements for the sum and territory — check them before submitting documents. You can also add cover for accidents, baggage, flight delays and personal liability. If employees carry expensive equipment with them, it is better to insure it under a separate property insurance contract.

Frequently asked questions
Can one policy cover all employees?
Yes, the company concludes one contract, and a policy is issued under it for each travelling employee. This simplifies administration and payment.
For frequent business trips, which is better — single-trip or annual policies?
For employees who travel regularly, an annual policy is usually more convenient and better value. It applies all year within the chosen limit of days abroad, and there is no need to arrange it before each trip.
Why does the price depend on employees’ ages?
The likelihood of needing medical care increases with age, so insurers apply a higher rate to older groups. In the calculator you can enter the number of employees in each age category.
Is an injury on a construction site abroad covered?
Only if the hazardous work was declared when applying and included in the contract. The standard programme is designed for office activities and business meetings.
Is a corporate policy suitable for a visa application?
Yes, with a sufficient sum insured and the correct territory, the policy meets consular requirements. Check the current visa requirements with the consulate of the destination country.
What documents does the company need to provide?
Company details and BIN, a list of employees with full names in Latin letters and dates of birth, and the countries and dates of travel. For site work, a description of the nature of the work will be needed.
Does this policy replace compulsory employee insurance?
No, these are different types of insurance. Compulsory insurance covers the consequences of accidents in the course of work duties, while the travel policy pays for treatment abroad.
